For some we are in possession of the original manufacturer's schematics, but in cases where it is not been possible to obtain information we are able to "reverse engineer" the circuit, making our own drawing from the board itself. However, if our customer is able to send us a schematic with the board, then that is a great help, reflected in both the turnaround time, and the cost.
